Competitions in Writers' Forum have a rolling deadline unless otherwise stated – usually around the 15th of each month. A story or poem that misses the deadline for one issue will be included in the next. If you would like acknowledgment of receipt, please include a stamped addressed envelope or postcard with your submission. All entries must be original and previously unpublished – this includes newspapers, magazines, books and websites. Publication on private online forums that are password-protected and in private letters and emails does not count. You can resubmit a previous entry to Writers' Forum after editing unless it is printed or commended in the magazine. Usual fees apply. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence can be entered into regarding the marking, critique or merits of individual entries or winners. But we welcome feedback on the competitions in general. By entering, entrants agree for their stories and poems to be published in Writers' Forum if successful. We have no current plans to produce anthologies but reserve the right to include any winning entries in any such projects in the future. Copyright remains with the author. The competitions are open to all nationalities worldwide, but entries must be in English. |
